Grete & Mark NatureBridge | Olympic National Park | Port Angeles, WA
Grete and Mark celebrated an amazing wedding weekend surrounded by friends and family out on the Olympic Peninsula. Their venue, Nature Bridge, is a science camp for kids when it's not hosting weddings, and the entire weekend had an amazing grown-ups-at-Summer-Camp vibe. Every time we visit this magical place we feel like we've stepped onto the set of Dirty Dancing! With their guests staying in quaint vintage cabins onsite the festivities didn't have to end and there was just the most magical sense of fun and playfulness all weekend. Grete and Mark are two of the most amazing people I've ever met. Their love and selflessness are seriously unmatched and their zest for life is infectious. Avid world travelers, Grete and Mark incorporated so many special details into their big day. Calling on the many amazing talents of their loving family and friends, they had so many personalized touches. Their darling dog Maple was even the Pup of Honor and decked out in a custom floral collar! Some of the most touching were the gorgeous hand painted bar sign and table names listing places the couple had traveled to together. The gorgeous flowers were put together by the bride's uncle and dad who were former florists. Do es it get much sweeter than to have your dad make your wedding bouquet? Though it was a grey and misty Pacific Northwest summer day for their vows, the rain held out long enough for a beautiful lakeside ceremony and cocktail hour. Dinner was served in the main dining hall and guests dined at family style tables draped in greenery and flowers nestled under whimsical baby's breath pomander balls. Perhaps the most touching part of the evening were the toasts - person after person took the mic to send their well wishes to this amazing couple. It was incredibly powerful to see how much Grete and Mark have impacted the lives of their loved ones. The night wrapped up with a killer dance party lasting well into the night and a few late night dips in the lake. It was truly an epic weekend and we were so lucky and feel so grateful to have been a part of it! Grete and Mark - all the love in the world goes out to you both!
