Having spent one of my first days on earth crashing one of my parents' parties by simply being born, it's not a huge surprise that I want to spend my life planning events. From an intimate get together to a gigantic ballroom wedding, I love it all. My attention to detail, passion for what I do and superb organizational skills make me well suited to help you plan your special event. I would love nothing more than to make your wedding or party as close to perfection as possible. It is my goal to make your dreams come true and to help you feel confident and relaxed so that you can thoroughly enjoy your day.
Why I love working on weddings: Helping couples plan events that feel meaningful, personal, intentional and one of a kind gives me so much pleasure. It makes my heart soar getting to watch our clients (most of whom truly end up feeling like dear friends!) share their love with one another and their nearest and dearest. I definitely cry at every wedding! We truly feel incredibly honored to be chosen to help with one of the most special days in a person's life and I feel lucky to have been in this business now for over 10 years. I'd like to think of myself as a sort of "wedding fairy godmother". I want to help you bring your vision to life - be it a simple, elegant, modern affair, a fun and laid-back backyard bash with only a few close friends and family or a gigantic fairy tale-style soiree. To me there is nothing better than helping you create your dream event. To know that you and your family and friends are able to fully enjoy your most joyous day and the beginning of the rest of your lives is extremely rewarding. I love love...and want that to be the focus - not timelines, seating charts, or any unforeseen issues that may arise. Your engagement and wedding day should be a magical time. Let me take the stress away so you can bask in the glow of each other. A little about me: I live in Seattle with my husband and business/wedding planning partner, Christopher. We were married in July 2011 and it was truly a fairy tale. (It was even held at a castle!) I love cats and am constantly taking too many photos of our two kitty monsters. Christopher and I are mildly obsessed with Disney. I love noodles. I am a watercolor artist, I like to knit and crochet and take photos and make my own paper and...basically I will try any artsy or crafty thing. Nature amazes me, especially the Pacific Northwest (shout out to the San Juan Islands!). I think that history is fascinating. I love to travel and have a dream of someday living in Paris with a small summer cottage in Provence (a girl can dream!). I am very detail oriented and it drives me crazy when someone moves my stapler. I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in English Literature and I absolutely love to read. I am a fun, creative, romantic girl who dreams big and loves life. Hello! I 'm Christopher and I am the other half of the Luth Weddings & Events team! I was always there to do the heavy lifting, but I am now excited to be a lot more involved in our operations and weddings! You'll see me around on wedding day, at consultation meetings, rehearsals, etc. and I'm always excited to work with our amazing clients and vendor teams! Candice and I feel that by working as a team we are much better able to serve our couples - and we really love working together!
Why I love working on weddings: I am a huge fan of finding creative solutions for issues that come up on wedding day. Thinking of out of the box ways to hang décor or flowers, put together a wedding arch, or negotiate with vendors is really where I shine. Coming from almost 20 years in the service industry, I'm really well equipped to coordinate with your entire vendor team from catering to clean up crew. While Candice has an amazing eye for design, I am great at implementation. I love seeing our happy couples at the end of the night just basking in the glow of their new marriage and the fabulous party they just had with their friends and family. A little about me: I grew up between the Oregon Coast and Kirkland, WA and love the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I am a huge Oregon Duck fan (which is fun when we play Candice's Huskies) and love sports. I have been converted into a Disney freak by my lovely wife and enjoy our trips to see the mouse whenever we can (though it's been awhile since the pandemic unfortunately). I am a total adrenaline junkie and love anything that will give me that falling off a cliff feeling. I'm a bit of a romantic. I love being an uncle. I've learned to like cats but am dying to get a dog when we have the space. I watch the news too much, so don't get me started. I love to laugh and be silly and make Candice crack up til she cries. Favorite movies: Star Wars, Goonies, any 80s movie Food I can't live without: Xiao long bao dumplings, Strawberry Banana bubble tea Animal that makes me go "awwww!": Giraffes One of my favorite ways to travel: Anything fast If I weren't a wedding planner I'd be: Professional beekeeper, VR video game tester, giraffe caretaker, or something with plants! "The wedding day itself went very smoothly (thanks to all the behind-the-scenes work that the Luths did), and we received so many compliments. Candice and Christopher are also just very agreeable people that are easy to get along with. We also really liked that they are a couple themselves and can provide both a male and a female perspective on wedding-related decisions. We could not have done it without them! Hire them and you will not be disappointed!"
