Ashley & Shawn Everett Golf & Country Club | Everett, Washington
Ashley and Shawn were married on a lovely and love filled autumn day. The day was full of lucky and serendipitous little moments from a rainbow lighting up the morning to a little ladybug hitching a ride on the bridal bouquet on the way to the venue. Even the little sprinkling of rain that appeared is good luck on a wedding day and it all cleared up just in time for the ceremony with the sun making a dramatic entrance as the couple said their vows.
The bride and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready at her childhood home in Snohomish overlooking the valley. Ashley had always envisioned walking down the steps in her wedding dress and it was so special to see that moment come to life. I loved creating her bouquets as the flower types she selected were in honor of her grandparents who had passed away. There were so many unique and personal details to this wedding that made it so magical.
The venue held a special place in the bride's heart as well, as she had been going to the Country Club to swim, golf, and play since she was a young girl and worked there for a short time. This wedding held a very special place in our hearts as Ashley is actually my baby sister. :) I was so honored to be her planner, florist, and Matron of Honor and could not have done it all without the help of my amazing husband and some fantastic floral and planning friends that freelanced with us for the big day.
We had so much fun designing this event. Ashley and Shawn really wanted beautiful agates to be the starting point for the design. We accented these gorgeous stones with some fabulous jewel tones and we got to create some really fun decor moments. The arbor was covered in hundreds of flowers, we had baskets of pashminas in case guests were chilly and there were candles and lanterns everywhere. One of our favorite pieces was a champagne wall that I got to design and build with my dad (I loved putting the Father of the Bride to work!). We decked it out in flowers and greenery and guests were able to grab a glass of bubbly as they walked into cocktail hour.
The reception tables were decked out with modern gold terrariums filled with flowers and scattered with bunches of candles. Guests found their seats by way of customized agate place cards that had their names written on them, making for a lovely keepsake. The gorgeous chandeliers were draped in greenery and the head table took center stage at the top of the dance floor covered in twinkling candlesticks and lanterns.
Guests danced the night away and the Bride and Groom flew off the next morning to their Irish honeymoon. It was truly a day I will never forget and I am so thrilled to have been a part of it.
